Geoffrey Gaia

Mr. Gaia represents individuals, businesses, and insurers with a concentration of his practice in automobile liability, premises liability, products liability, general liability, workers’ compensation, insurance defense, subrogation, contract, and probate matters.  He has litigated matters in state and federal courts in Tennessee as well as appellate work in the Sixth and Eighth U. S. Circuit Courts of Appeal.


Mr. Gaia graduated from Memphis State University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 1994. He has been admitted to practice in numerous jurisdictions since beginning his career practicing law.


Mr. Gaia practiced for sixteen years at McWhirter, Wyatt & Elder, P.C., with an emphasis in insurance defense. He worked for six years at Wolff Ardis, P.C., primarily representing plaintiffs, with an emphasis in products liability. He worked at Holley, Elder & McWhirter, P.C. for three years primarily engaged once again in insurance defense.
